More information about Bordeaux Supérieur AOC - Château Tour Saint Paul

In the glass, the Bordeaux Supérieur from Château Tour Saint Paul presents a dense, purple-red color. This French cuvée caresses the nose in the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries and strawberries. Nuances of blackcurrant join in.

This French wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with only 1.8 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Frenchman delights, despite all its dryness, with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine presents itself as wonderfully silky. Thanks to its pronounced acidity, the Bordeaux Supérieur reveals itself on the palate as delightfully fresh and lively. On the finish, this well-ageable red wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region finally impresses with good length. Once again, hints of strawberry and blackberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the clay- and limestone-dominated soils are also evident.

Vinification of Château Tour Saint Paul Bordeaux Supérieur

The basis for the powerful Bordeaux Supérieur from Bordeaux consists of grapes from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There, they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Bordeaux Supérieur from Château Tour Saint Paul

This red wine from France is best enjoyed at a tempered 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to lemon-chili chicken with bulgur, braised chicken in red wine, or boeuf bourguignon.
