More information about Chardonnay - Bree

The Bree Chardonnay from the Languedoc wine-growing region presents itself in the glass with a brilliantly shimmering golden yellow. With a little time in the glass, this white wine from Germany reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of guava, pomelo, grapefruit and physalis, rounded off by further fruity nuances.

This white wine from Germany also completely enchants the palate. One reason for this is, among other things, a subtle residual sweetness of 11.6 grams per liter, which makes the Bree Chardonnay particularly easy-drinking. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully delicate. Thanks to the moderate acidity, Bree Chardonnay caresses the palate with a soft mouthfeel, without lacking in juicy liveliness. The finish of this white wine from the Languedoc wine-growing region ultimately impresses with a lovely aftertaste.

Vinification of Bree Chardonnay

This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Chardonnay. For this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Peter Mertes, only flawless grape material was used. After being hand-picked, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled. After the wine is finished, Bree Chardonnay is carefully harmonized.

Food recommendation for Bree Chardonnay

This white wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to vegetable salad with beetroot, fruity endive salad, or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
