More information about Brut Selection - Casters Louis
The Brut Selection from the Champagne wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a bright light red. The perlage of this sparkling wine shines in the glass as extremely fine, elegant, and long-lasting. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this sparkling wine, as it neither appears watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. Poured into a sparkling wine glass, this Old World sparkling wine displays wonderfully refined and complex aromas of raspberry, lemon, grapefruit, and brioche, rounded off by rosehip.
On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced sparkling wine is wonderfully light, crisp, and creamy. The finish of this sparkling wine from the Champagne wine-growing region, more precisely from Champagne, ultimately delights with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the limestone- and clay-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Brut Selection from Casters Louis
The balanced Brut Selection from France is a single-varietal wine, vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. In Champagne, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. Quite clearly, the Brut Selection is also shaped by the climatic and stylistic factors of Champagne. This French wine can literally be described as an Old World wine, presenting itself as exceptionally refined and complex. The ripening of the harvest for this Pinot Noir wine is influenced to a very large extent by the climate of the growing region. In Champagne, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripening grapes and a rather moderate must weight. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently pressed. This is followed by the fermentation of the base wines.
