The light-footed Cava Brut Nature from the house Vilarnau comes with brilliant light yellow in the glass. The bubbles of this sparkling wine shine in the glass vital and long lasting. This Spanish cuvée flatters in the glass wonderfully fragrant notes of nashi pear, quince, apples and pears. It is joined by hints of roasted almond, toasted hazelnut and brittle.
This Spanish wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine, this Spaniard naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed sparkling wine is wonderfully melting and dense. In the finish, this Cava from the wine-growing region of Catalonia finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of nashi pear and pear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and loam are added.
Vinification of Vilarnau Cava Brut Nature
The elegant Cava Brut Nature from Spain is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Parellada and Viura. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Catalonia. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay, limestone, clay and marl. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Cava Brut Nature are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Then the fermentation of the base wines takes place. After the assemblage of the cava follows further aging based on the classic bottle fermentation. Subsequently, the Vilarnau Cava Brut Nature matures for several months in the bottle and is finally disgorged.
Food recommendation for Vilarnau Cava Brut Nature
This sparkling wine from Spain is best enjoyed very well chilled at 5 - 7°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to spicy curry with lamb, cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables or vegetable stew with pesto.
