More information about Vieilles Vignes Pouilly-Fuissé AOC - Domaine Daniel Pollier
Domaine Daniel Pollier Chardonnay Pouilly-Fuissé is a first-class white wine in the glass. In this it reveals a wonderfully bright, golden yellow color. If you give it some air by swirling, you can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, because it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. To the nose, this Domaine Daniel Pollier white wine presents all sorts of quince, pear, nashi pear and apple. As if that wasn't already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds other aromas such as oriental spices, cocoa bean and gingerbread spice.
This white from Domaine Daniel Pollier is ideal for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it never appears sparse or brittle, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully dense. In the finish, this white wine from the Burgundy wine-growing region, which can be stored well, finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of nashi pear and apple. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone and clay dominated soils are added.
Vinification of the Domaine Daniel Pollier Chardonnay Pouilly-Fuissé
The balanced Chardonnay Pouilly-Fuissé from France is a single varietal wine, pressed from the Chardonnay grape variety. In Burgundy, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and limestone. Chardonnay Pouilly-Fuissé is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.
