This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and, despite its dryness, this French wine enchants with the finest balance. Flavor does not necessarily require sugar. The finish of this very age-worthy red wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region, more precisely from Pauillac, ultimately convinces with a beautiful aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the gravel-dominated soils.
Vinification of Château Lacoste-Borie
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Château Lacoste-Borie cuvée is Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. In Bordeaux, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on gravel soils. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures.
