More information about Château Poujeaux Cru Bourgeois AOC - Château Poujeaux
With Château Poujeaux Château Poujeaux Cru Bourgeois, a first-class red wine reaches the swirling glass. It offers a wonderfully bright, ruby-red color. At the rim, this French red also shows a transition into garnet red. After the first swirl, one can perceive an excellent balance in this red wine, as it neither appears watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the sides of the glass. Poured into a Bordeaux glass, this Old World red presents wonderfully expressive aromas of blackberry, rounded off by vanilla and white pepper contributed by its maturation in wooden barrels.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the icon segment, this French wine, despite all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Flavor does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Balanced and complex, this velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this excellently age-worthy red from the Bordeaux wine-growing region finally impresses with considerable length. Once again, nuances of blackberry appear.
Vinification of Château Poujeaux Château Poujeaux Cru Bourgeois

Château Poujeaux Cru Bourgeois is an Old World wine through and through, as this French wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Château Poujeaux Cru Bourgeois is aged for several more months in French oak barrels.
