More information about Grand Cru Haut-Médoc AOC - Château Cantemerle

With the Château Cantemerle Grand Cru Haut-Médoc, a first-class red wine finds its way into the glass. It reveals a wonderfully radiant, ruby-red color. This French cuvée reveals delightfully expressive notes of currant, blackberry, plum, and blueberry in the glass. Added to this are hints of toasted wood, tobacco, and blackcurrant.

On the palate, the Grand Cru Haut-Médoc from Château Cantemerle starts pleasantly dry, firm, and aromatic. Balanced and multi-faceted, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this excellently age-worthy red wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region, more precisely from Haut-Médoc, ultimately delights with a remarkable length.

Vinification of Château Cantemerle Grand Cru Haut-Médoc

This balanced red wine from France is vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Grand Cru Haut-Médoc are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of coarse and barely selective machinery. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Food pairing for the Grand Cru Haut-Médoc from Château Cantemerle

Enjoy this red wine from France ideally at 15–18°C as an accompaniment to spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce, braised chicken in red wine, or fried calf’s liver with apples, onions, and balsamic sauce.
