On the palate, the Clos du Grand Carquelin Moulin-à-Vent 1.5 l Magnum from Château des Jacques starts off pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. Powerful and complex, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this well age-worthy red wine from the Beaujolais wine-growing region, more precisely from Moulin À Vent, finally convinces with a remarkable length.

Vinification of the Clos du Grand Carquelin Moulin-à-Vent 1.5 l Magnum from Château des Jacques

This red wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Gamay. Only first-class grape material was used for this wonderfully powerful varietal wine from Château des Jacques. Naturally, the Clos du Grand Carquelin Moulin-à-Vent 1.5 l Magnum is also shaped by the climatic and stylistic factors of Moulin À Vent. This French wine can literally be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an exceptionally impressive manner. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently broken up. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels follows at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques.
