More information about Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner - Winzer Krems
In the glass, the Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner from Winzer Krems offers a bright platinum-yellow color. On the nose, this white wine from Winzer Krems presents all kinds of quince and ripe apple.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with 4.1 grams of residual sugar. As one would expect from a wine in the high-quality category, this Austrian, despite all its dryness, enchants with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, this well-balanced white wine is characterized by an immensely dense texture. Thanks to its well-balanced acidity, the Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner caresses the palate with a pleasing mouthfeel, without lacking freshness. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Lower Austria wine-growing region impresses with considerable length. Once again, nuances of quince and ripe apple appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the loess-dominated soils also join in.
Vinification of Winzer Krems Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner
This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Grüner Veltliner. For this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Winzer Krems, only flawless grapes were used. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into loess soils. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of strenuous and less selective mechanical harvesters. After hand-picking, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
