More information about Extra Brut Grand Cru Blanc De Blancs - Vesselle Georges
The Extra Brut Grand Cru Blanc De Blancs from the Champagne wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in a bright light red. The mousse of this sparkling wine shimmers in the glass with an incredibly fine, elegant and persistent bead. When swirling the wine glass, you can perceive a perfect balance in this sparkling wine, as it neither clings to the glass in a watery way, nor syrupy or liqueur-like. The bouquet of this sparkling wine from Champagne seduces with aromas of lemon, ripe apple and orange. If we pursue the aromatics further, hazelnut also emerges.
On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced Champagne presents itself as wonderfully light, crisp and creamy. On the finish, this sparkling wine from the Champagne wine-growing region finally delights with a lovely length. Once again, hints of lemon and ripe apple appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone- and clay-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Vesselle Georges Extra Brut Grand Cru Blanc De Blancs
This balanced sparkling wine from France is vinified from the grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In Champagne, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and limestone soils. The Extra Brut Grand Cru Blanc De Blancs is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. The fact that the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a very strong impact on the ripening of the harvest. This is expressed, among other things, in particularly long and even ripening of the grapes and a rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After manual harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently pressed. Fermentation of the base wines then follows. After blending the final Champagne, further ageing takes place based on the méthode champenoise. The Vesselle Georges Extra Brut Grand Cru Blanc De Blancs then matures in the bottle for several months and is finally disgorged.
