More information about Manavi - Winery Chateau Nekresi
The elegant Manavi from the pen of Winery Chateau Nekresi flows into the glass in a bright light yellow. The first nose of the Manavi reveals notes of lilac, green apple and lemon. More fruity-balsamic nuances join the fruity components of the bouquet.
This white wine from Winery Chateau Nekresi is ideal for purists who would prefer 0.0 grams of residual sugar in their wine. Manavi comes very close to this, having been vinified with just 1.9 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, this well-balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Manavi appears impressively fresh and vibrant on the palate. On the finish, this well-aging white wine from the Kakheti wine-growing region finally delights with considerable length. Once again, hints of lilac and green apple appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the soils dominated by volcanic rock and black earth join in. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Kakheti. Here the vines sink their roots deep into soils of volcanic rock and black earth. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation has ended, the Manavi can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees.
