Margaux AOC - Château Dauzac

The elegant Margaux from Château Dauzac shimmers a bright purple-red in the glass. At the rim, there is also a color transition into garnet red. When swirling the glass, you can perceive an excellent balance in this red wine, as it does not appear watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the sides of the glass. The first nose of the Margaux reveals nuances of sour cherries and blackberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by further fruity-balsamic nuances.

Château Dauzac Margaux impresses with its straightforward dry flavor profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the icon wine segment, this Frenchman delights, for all its dryness, with the finest balance. Flavor does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the finish, this matured wine from the Bordeaux region finally captivates with a lovely length. Notes of blackberry and sour cherry once again become apparent.

Vinification of Margaux from Château Dauzac

This well-balanced red wine from France is vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The Margaux is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this French wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
