More information about Margaux AOC - Château du Tertre
With Château du Tertre Margaux, a first-class red wine finds its way into the well-polished wine glass. There it presents a wonderfully bright, ruby-red color. When the glass is held at a slight angle, a charming garnet-red hue appears at the rim. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals an unparalleled balance, as it neither appears watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. The bouquet of this red wine from Bordeaux captivates with aromas of blackberry and plum. Exploring the aromas further, blackcurrant and chocolate join in.
Château du Tertre Margaux presents itself to the wine enthusiast as delightfully dry. This red wine never appears rough or austere, but rather round and smooth. The finish of this matured red wine from the Bordeaux region finally delights with a lovely aftertaste.
Vinification of Château du Tertre Margaux
The foundation for this well-balanced Margaux from France is grapes of the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. This Margaux is an Old World wine through and through, as this French wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Following fermentation, the wine matures for several months in barriques made of oak.
