Vinification of the Merlot from Speis&Trank

This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Merlot. Only flawless grapes were brought in for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Speis&Trank. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Merlot is allowed to harmonize further on the fine lees for a few months.
