More information about Mon Adour Madiran AOP - Lionel Osmin & Cie

The Mon Adour Madiran from the Sud-Ouest wine-growing region offers a dense purple red in the glass. The edges also show a color transition to garnet red. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from the Old World presents wonderfully expressive aromas of blueberry, black currant, morello cherry and plum, rounded off by other fruity nuances.

The Lionel Osmin & Cie Mon Adour Madiran presents itself to the wine connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, as you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly melting texture. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Mon Adour Madiran flatters the palate with a soft feel, without lacking juicy liveliness. In the finish, this well storable red wine from the Sud-Ouest wine-growing region finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of blueberry and morello cherry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and limestone are added.

Vinification of the Lionel Osmin & Cie Mon Adour Madiran

This powerful red wine from France is made from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat grapes. The grapes grow close to the sea in Sud Ouest. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand and limestone. Due to the balancing influence of the nearby sea, the grapes ripen more slowly and develop more aromatic complexity. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully milled.

Food recommendation for the Mon Adour Madiran from Lionel Osmin & Cie

This red wine from France is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to osso buco, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or braised chicken in red wine.
