Obikwa Moscato - OBiKWA Winery

With the Obikwa Obikwa Moscato, a first-class white wine enters the swirled glass. It offers a wonderfully brilliant, platinum-yellow color. On the nose, this Obikwa white wine presents a variety of pears, lychees, lemons, and roses. As if that weren't impressive enough, additional aromas such as lime and musk join in.

The Obikwa Moscato can rightly be described as exceptionally fruity and velvety, as it was vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. Through its vital fruit acidity, the Obikwa Moscato appears wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this wine from the West Cape region ultimately delights with beautiful length. Once again, hints of pear and lemon emerge.

Vinification of the Obikwa Obikwa Moscato

This elegant white wine from South Africa is made from the Moscatel grape variety. After harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the press house. Here, they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is completed with several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Obikwa Obikwa Moscato

This South African white wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It pairs perfectly as a companion to a variety of great dishes, but is also a delight when enjoyed on its own.
