In the glass, the Champagne Vintage Brut from Piper-Heidsieck reveals a brilliant shimmering golden yellow color. The perlage of this champagne shimmers in the glass incredibly fine, elegant and long-lasting. At its core, this sparkling wine displays an expressive color. When swirling the glass, this sparkling wine is characterized by a splendid brilliance that makes it dance nimbly in the glass. In the glass, this Piper-Heidsieck sparkling wine reveals aromas of lemons, lemongrass, honeysuckle, lime and grapefruit, complemented by dark chocolate, vanilla and oriental spices. The Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Vintage Brut delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 9.4 grams of residual sugar. As expected from a wine of this reputation, this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Champagne Vintage Brut is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this wine from the Champagne wine-growing region finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of gooseberry and honeysuckle appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and limestone are added.

Vinification of the Champagne Vintage Brut from Piper-Heidsieck

The elegant Champagne Vintage Brut from France is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Champagne region. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and marl. Without question, the Champagne Vintage Brut is also determined by more than just the soil of Champagne. This Frenchman can be called an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, and it is exceptionally distinguished. The grapes for this sparkling wine from France are, at the time of optimal maturity, exclusively hand . After the hand harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house in the fastest way. Here they are selected and gently pressed. The fermentation of the base wines follows. After the assemblage of the champagne follows further aging based on the bottle storage, Méthode Champenoise, classic bottle fermentation. Subsequently, the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Vintage Brut matures for several months in the bottle and is finally disgorged.
