The Blanc from the wine-growing region the Rhône Valley presents itself in the glass in brilliant shimmering light yellow, golden yellow. To the nose, this Les Dauphins white wine reveals all sorts of lemons, apricots, white currants, mirabelles and pomelo.
On the palate, the Blanc of Les Dauphins starts wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. Light on its feet and complex, this crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this youthful from the wine-growing region of the Rhône Valley finally thrills with considerable length. There are again hints of pomelo and kumquat. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone are added.
Vinification of Les Dauphins Blanc
This elegant Blanc from France is a cuvée vinified from Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Viognier grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rhône Valley. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
Food recommendation for the Blanc of Les Dauphins
This French wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to omelet with salmon and fennel, stir-fried vegetables with fish, or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
