More information about Riesling Zellberg - Julien Meyer
The Riesling Zellberg, crafted by Meyer Julien from Alsace, offers a bright, pale yellow color in the swirled glass. The bouquet of this white wine from Alsace beguiles with hints of pear, apple, peach, and mirabelle plum. Following the aromatics further, mineral notes emerge.
This French wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Frenchman delights, despite all its dryness, with the finest balance. Flavor does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, this well-balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly light and crisp texture. The finish of this white wine from the Alsace wine-growing region ultimately impresses with a beautiful aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the gravel-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Riesling Zellberg by Meyer Julien
This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Riesling. For this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from Meyer Julien, only the best grape material was harvested. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Alsace. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into gravel soils. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and concrete at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
