Vinification of Sandgrube 13 Grüner Veltliner from Winzer Krems

The well-balanced Sandgrube 13 Grüner Veltliner from Austria is a varietal wine made from the Grüner Veltliner grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. Here the vines drive their roots deep into loess soils. The wine berries for this Austrian white wine are harvested particularly quickly and preferably in the morning at optimal ripeness in order to preserve their freshness. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
