Sercial 10 Years Old - Vinhos Justino Henriques

The Sercial 10 Years Old from Vinhos Justino Henriques is a wonderful single-varietal Madeira.

In the glass, this wine shines in a light reddish-brown with golden reflections. The fresh aromatics delight the nose. Aromas of fresh walnuts and acacia honey unfold. The classic notes of dried fruits are also present in the bouquet and on the palate. Its personality is wonderfully lively and has a medium-length, warm-hearted finish.

Vinification of Justino Henriques Sercial

The Sercial grapes come from 17-year-old vines that grow on the small island of Madeira on limestone and sandstone soils.

After harvesting and selection, the grapes are fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, this wine is aged for at least 10 years in used wooden casks. This Madeira is a blend of several wines, all of which were themselves produced through the individual vinification of white grapes and which have spent at least 10 years in oak barrels prior to bottling.
