Prickling, effervescent Spumante is, above all, a North-Italian speciality. The Piedmont in the Northwest, as well as Venetia and Friuli-Venezia Giulia in the Northeast, are particular highlights. This is where impassioned vintners and wineries create unique Spumante variations from international grape varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay alongside sparkling wines from traditional Italian varietals.
