Vinification of Bodegas Pedro Escudero Valdelagunde Cuvée Especial Castilla y Léon 1.5 l Magnum
This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Verdejo. Only first-class grape material was used for this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from Bodegas Pedro Escudero. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Castilla y León. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into sandstone and clay soils. The grapes for this white wine from Spain are harvested particularly quickly and preferably in the morning once optimal ripeness has been ensured, in order to preserve their aromas. After hand-picking, the grapes are swiftly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by several months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
