Vinha das Romãs - Monte da Ravasqueira

The Vinha das Romãs from Monte da Ravasqueira is a fascinating, expressive red wine blend of Syrah (50%) and Touriga Francesa (50%).

In the glass, this Portuguese wine presents itself to a rich black red. Initially, the bouquet is still very restrained, but gradually wonderful aromas of black berries - especially blackberry - cedar and cardamom open up. In addition, there are spicy, earthy and mineral notes. The distinctive tannin framework is perfectly underlined by the fleshy, juicy texture. The tannins accompany into the long, elegant finish.

Vinification of the Vinha das Romãs  Monte da Ravasqueira 

The grapes for this red wine come from a single vineyard - the Vinha das Romãs. This is where the name for this wine comes from. After the careful harvest, the grapes are selected in the winery. Then the must is fermented in barriques under temperature control. For a total of 20 months, this wine is aged in French oak barrels. This gives it its strong color, distinctive tannins and spicy aromas.
