Vinification of Winzer Krems Weinmanufaktur Blauer Zweigelt
The balanced Weinmanufaktur Blauer Zweigelt from Austria is a single-varietal wine, vinified from the Zweigelt grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into soils of clay and loess. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for Weinmanufaktur Blauer Zweigelt are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of strenuous and less selective machinery. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There, they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
