With the Glaetzer Wines Bishop Shiraz comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. Here it presents a wonderfully dense, crimson color. When the glass is swivelled, this red wine reveals a high density and abundance, which is evident in strong church windows at the glass edge. This varietal Australian wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of blackcurrants, blueberries, mulberries and blackberries in the glass. In addition, there are hints of cigar crates, toasted barriques and oak wood.
This red from Glaetzer Wines is ideal for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it never appears sparse or brittle, as you can expect with a wine. This light red wine is impressive and complex on the palate. Due to its present fruit acid, the Bishop Shiraz on the palate is fantastically fresh and lively. In the finish, this red wine from the South Australia wine-growing region finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry and blackcurrant.
Vinification of Glaetzer Wines Bishop Shiraz
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Syrah. Only the best grape material was introduced for this wonderfully powerful pure variety wine from Glaetzer Wines. After the hand-picking, the grapes reach the press house in the fastest way. Here you are selected and gently ground. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the fermentation is complete, the Bishop Shiraz is aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels.
Food recommendation for Glaetzer Wines Bishop Shiraz
This Australian red wine should best be enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly as an accompanying wine with Boeuf Bourguignon, rum pot or duck breast with sugar pods.
