More information about Cabernet Sauvignon - Kaiken
With the Viña Kaiken Cabernet Sauvignon, a first-class red wine flows into the swirling glass. It offers a wonderfully bright, purple-red color. On the nose, this Viña Kaiken red wine reveals all kinds of blackberries, black currants, mulberries, and blueberries. As if that were not already impressive, aging in small wooden barrels adds aromas of black tea, dark chocolate, and cinnamon.
The Viña Kaiken Cabernet Sauvignon presents itself to the connoisseur as wonderfully dry. This red wine is never rustic or meager, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully silky and dense. Thanks to its pronounced acidity, the Cabernet Sauvignon appears delightfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Mendoza wine-growing region is ultimately compelling with its remarkable length.
Vinification of Viña Kaiken Cabernet Sauvignon
The basis for this balanced Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza is grapes of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec varieties. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally racked.
