The Caprasia Roble from Bodegas Vegalfaro of Valencia presents a dense purple color in the glass. Ideally poured into a red wine glass, this Old World red wine presents wonderfully expressive aromas of black cherry, plum, black currant and mulberry, rounded out by cigar box, oak and toasted barrel aging.
The Bodegas Vegalfaro Caprasia Roble delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 2.1 grams of residual sugar. Here it is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Spaniard enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. This velvety and dense red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Caprasia Roble is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this good storable red wine from the wine-growing region of Valencia finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of morello cherry and plum.
Vinification of the Bodegas Vegalfaro Caprasia Roble
This powerful red wine from Spain is made from the Bobal and Merlot grape varieties. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Caprasia Roble are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in amphorae and small wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, Caprasia Roble is aged for 8 months in oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Bodegas Vegalfaro Caprasia Roble
This Spanish red wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to lemon chili chicken with bulgur, spinach gratin with almonds or cabbage roulades.
