More information about Chardonnay Hasel - Johann Topf

The barrel-aged Chardonnay Hasel from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria presents itself in the glass in a bright golden yellow. If you swirl the wine glass, you can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, because it stands out on the walls of the glass neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. In the glass, this white wine from Johann Topf presents aromas of mangoes, guava, physalis, star fruit and pineapple, complemented by cocoa bean, dark chocolate and cinnamon. The Chardonnay Hasel from Johann Topf is ideal for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it never appears sparse or brittle, but round and smooth. Balanced and complex, this velvety and dense white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Chardonnay Hasel reveals itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria, more precisely from Kamptal, finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by loess.

Vinification of the Johann Topf Chardonnay Hasel

The basis for the balanced Chardonnay Hasel from Lower Austria are grapes from the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of loess soil. Chardonnay Hasel is an Old World wine through and through, as this Austrian breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the harvest, the grapes arrive swiftly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in oak barriques.

Food recommendation for the Chardonnay Hasel by Johann Topf
