In Mendoza, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sedimentary and weathered rock. This Argentine can literally be described as a New World wine that is extraordinarily impressive. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Chardonnay Tupungato Reserve are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by 10 months of aging in French oak barrels.
