This Cru Principal from Chateau La Croix Chantecaille is produced as a classic blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the best soils of the Saint-Èmilion appellation, yields are kept low to get the best from the grapes. The winery works according to ecological standards of sustainable agriculture to best protect the soil and the environment. The harvest is done manually when the grapes reach the best degree of ripeness. After harvesting, pressing and fermentation, aging takes place in French oak barriques for 12 months, one third new, two thirds used.
