More information about Châteauneuf-Du-Pape Cuvée Réserve C & F - Domaine De Pignan

In the glass, the Châteauneuf-Du-Pape Cuvée Réserve C & F from Domaine De Pignan reveals a dense purplish-red color. This French cuvée presents wonderfully expressive notes of blackberry in the glass. Hints of blackcurrant and black cherry are also present.

This red wine from Domaine De Pignan is ideal for wine lovers who prefer their wine dry. The Châteauneuf-Du-Pape Cuvée Réserve C & F comes very close to that, as it was vinified with just 2.2 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Thanks to its distinctive acidity, the Châteauneuf-Du-Pape Cuvée Réserve C & F appears wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this very age-worthy red wine from the Rhône Valley wine-growing region delights with beautiful length. Once again, nuances of blackberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the limestone- and clay-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Châteauneuf-Du-Pape Cuvée Réserve C & F from Domaine De Pignan

The powerful Châteauneuf-Du-Pape Cuvée Réserve C & F from France is a cuvée made from the grape varieties Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rhône Valley. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into limestone and clay soils. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
