In the glass, Waterkloof's Circumstance Mourvèdre reveals a bright purple color. After the first swirl, one can perceive a first-rate balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out on the glass walls as watery or syrupy or liqueur-like. This single varietal South African wine displays delightfully youthful notes of raspberries, mulberries, blackberries and blueberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of lovage, oak and green peppers.

Vinification of the Circumstance Mourvèdre from Waterkloof

The balanced Circumstance Mourvèdre from South Africa is a single varietal wine made from the Mourvèdre grape variety. After the harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Circumstance Mourvèdre is aged for several months in oak barrels.
