Champagne Taittinger's Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is a premium, expressive sparkling wine exclusively vinified from the Chardonnay grape variety.
In the glass, this champagne captivates with its shiny light gold color with bright green and almost fluorescent reflections. The finest pearl cords are constantly rising. This champagne shows an emphatically fresh bouquet. Fragrant aromas of white flowers go hand in hand with mineral notes and juicy pears as well as sultanas - accompanied by a subtle hint of anise.
Expressive and with tremendous power, this sparkling wine presents itself to the palate. In addition to vibrant citrus fruit, you can taste fine, slightly roasted aromas of caramelized grapefruit and salty mineral notes. The long reverberation is crowned by a beautiful fullness and a fresh acidity.
The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is the perfect combination of finesse, intensity, freshness and harmony. Simply an excellent champagne for wonderful unique moments.
Vinification of Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne
Only strictly selected Chardonnay grapes from the five Grand Cru locations of the Côte des Blancs are used for this wonderful sparkling wine. The harvest is only done by hand and the harvested crop is still gently pressed in the vineyards as a whole. Only the fine must after the initial pressing is used for this champagne. The
musts are fermented quickly in the stainless steel tank. For a short time about 5% of this wine matures for 4 months in new oak barrels. Afterwards, the matured and unripened wines are married to a basic wine cuvée. With the addition of the filling dosage (yeast and sugar), the base wine is bottled and placed in the deep chalk pods of Taittinger for at least maturity. Regular shaking and turning by hand gradually collects the yeast, which was initially on the bottom, in the neck of the bottle.
Finally, this champagne is degorged. The yeast plug is frozen in the neck of the bottle and the bottle is opened. The shortage caused by opening is filled with a shipping dosage (sugar and wine) - so this champagne is classified with brood.
