More information about Furmint - Triebaumer
Triebaumer’s Furmint shines a brilliant straw yellow in the glass and presents itself as a compact, very smooth representative of its grape variety. Aromas of Williams pear, apple and pineapple can be discerned in the bouquet, joined by a hint of quince chutney.
On the palate, Triebaumer Furmint is dry and vibrant with lively acidity, hearty and juicy. The flavor shows a lovely sea buckthorn nuance and some persimmon, as well as a fine note of lemon.
Vinification of Triebaumer Furmint
The grapes were harvested in mid-September and brought to the winery in small crates after hand selection. The grapes were picked from the Geyer-Umriss and Plachen sites. Only exquisite material from weathered shale is destemmed, and after gentle pressing the must is cooled and fermented in stainless steel tanks at approx. 18°C for 4 weeks.

Enjoy this Austrian white wine at 7 to 9°C with pan-fried fish with vegetables and risotto, or with fresh farmhouse bread and mature Gouda.
