Vinification of Bodegas Campillo Gran Reserva Rioja

This powerful red wine from Spain is vinified from the Tempranillo grape variety. The Gran Reserva Rioja is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Spaniard exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Gran Reserva Rioja is aged for another 30 months in French oak barriques. After the wine is finished, the Gran Reserva Rioja is gently harmonized.
