The balanced Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru from France is a varietal wine made from the Pinot Noir grape. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgundy. Here, the vines sink their roots deep into limestone soils. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of strenuous and less selective machinery. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 18 months.
