More information about Kupe Pinot Noir - Escarpment Winery
The powerful Kupe Pinot Noir from Escarpment Winery flows into the glass with a dense light red color. The first nose of the Kupe Pinot Noir presents nuances of raspberries and plums. Joining the fruity aspects of the bouquet are black cherry and pepper.
This wine delights with its straightforward dry taste profile. It was bottled with just 0 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and, despite all its dryness, this New Zealander naturally enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. Thanks to its well-balanced acidity, the Kupe Pinot Noir caresses the palate with a soft mouthfeel without sacrificing juicy liveliness. On the finish, this very age-worthy wine from the New Zealand North Island wine region finally impresses with beautiful length. Once again, hints of plum and raspberry appear.
Vinification of the Kupe Pinot Noir from Escarpment Winery
The powerful Kupe Pinot Noir from New Zealand is a single-varietal wine, vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. After harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
