More information about Te Rehua Pinot Noir - Escarpment Winery

In the glass, the Te Rehua Pinot Noir from Escarpment Winery offers a bright light-red color. This varietal New Zealand wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of plums in the glass. There are also hints of licorice and black cherry.

On the palate, the Te Rehua Pinot Noir from Escarpment Winery opens pleasantly dry, firm, and aromatic. Some wines are labeled dry, others truly are. This red wine belongs to the latter group, as it was bottled with only 0 g of residual sugar. Thanks to its moderate acidity, the Te Rehua Pinot Noir caresses the palate with a velvety feel, without sacrificing juicy vibrancy. The finish of this highly age-worthy red wine from the New Zealand North Island wine region is ultimately captivating with its lovely aftertaste.

Vinification of the Escarpment Winery Te Rehua Pinot Noir

The basis for the well-balanced Te Rehua Pinot Noir from New Zealand is grapes of the Pinot Noir variety. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged on the fine lees for several months before it is finally bottled.
