The basis for the powerful La Réserve Saint Dominique Ventoux from the Rhône Valley is grapes from the Cinsault and Syrah varieties. In the Rhône Valley, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and sandstone soils. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for La Réserve Saint Dominique Ventoux are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of coarse and less selective machinery. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months in oak barrels.
