More information about Late Bottled Vintage - Ramos Pinto
Tilting the glass a bit, a transition of color in direction can be seen at the edges. After the first swirl, this port reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in church windows at the rim of the glass. This Portuguese cuvée shows wonderfully expressive notes of lilies, violets, rose and lavender in the glass. These are joined by hints of cocoa bean, oriental spices and black tea.
Individually bottled in gift box Late Bottled Vintage Ramos Pinto presents us with an incredibly fruity taste on the tongue, due in no small part to its residual sweet profile. On the palate, the texture of this punchy port is wonderfully silky, melting and weighty. In the finish, this storable port wine from the wine-growing region Douro & Porto finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of lilac and violets. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by granite and slate join in.
