Les Jamelles Grenache is a varietal, uncomplicated and full-bodied red wine from the French wine-growing region of Languedoc-Roussillon.
In the glass, this wine shimmers a rich purple with ruby highlights. The fruity-spicy bouquet caresses the nose with intense aromas of freshly picked raspberries and spicy notes of ground pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, this French red wine convinces with a full-bodied body that lets the aromas of the nose envelop it. The velvety texture rounds out this wine perfectly and accompanies into the pleasant finish.
Vinification of Les Jamelles Grenache
The vines for this red wine grow in the growing areas of the Pays d'Oc between Béziers and Perpignan. The vines are between 10 and 20 years old and are rooted in the clay and limestone soils of the Minervois.
After harvesting, the grapes are completely destemmed and, after a long maceration period, fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. During this process, the mash is regularly pumped over. About 5 to 10% of this wine is aged in oak barrels - the greater part remains in stainless steel tanks.
