More information about Mainova Tinto - Mainova

The barrel-aged Mainova Tinto from the Alentejo wine-growing region presents a dense purple color in the glass. To the nose, this Mainova red wine presents all sorts of blueberries, mulberries, black currants and blackberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds other aromas such as green peppers, cigar box and oak.

This Portuguese wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1 gram of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this Portuguese naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully dense. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Mainova Tinto flatters with a soft mouthfeel, without lacking freshness at the same time. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Alentejo finally thrilled with considerable reverberation.

Vinification of the Mainova Tinto from Mainova

The powerful Mainova Tinto from Portugal is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Alicante Bouschet, Baga and Touriga Nacional. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Mainova Tinto is aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Mainova Tinto from Mainova

This Portuguese red wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to spinach gratin with almonds, leek tortilla or arugula penne.
