The Miraflors Rosé by Domaine Lafage from the French wine region Côtes Catalanes in Languedoc is an elegant, light-footed and excellent rosé wine cuvee vinified from the grape varieties Mourvedre, Grenache Gris and Grenache Noir.
In a bright pink, this wine shines in the glass. Freshness reaches the nose first. Here you can see aromas of strawberries and blackberries, supported by a hint of herbal notes. The berry aromas pamper the senses and make you want summer. On the palate, the Miraflors Rosé is juicy, spicy, round and soft, and also alive, thanks to the aromas of berries and a fresh acidity. The reverberation of this magnificent rosé from southern France is lively and stimulating.
Vinification of Lafage Miraflors Rosé
The Miraflors Rosé of the Domaine Lafage is alively and soft rosé cuvée of Mouvèdre, Grenache Gris and Grenache Noir. In September, the grapes are harvested from the sea-level locations, which are characterized by the pebble soil and a Mediterranean climate. Due to sufficient rainfall, artificial irrigation is unnecessary here.
The grapes are pressed and soon separated from the skins. Fermentation takes place at 16°C, which preserves the fruit aromas. After that, this French rosé matures briefly in barrels on the fine yeast.
Food recommendation for the Miraflors Rosé
Enjoy this wonderful southern French rosé as an aperitif, with white fish and berry tarts. But this cuvée is also a treat for Italian classics, such as spaghetti bolognese or pizza.
