More information about Morey-Saint-Denis AOC - François Feuillet
The barrel-aged Morey-Saint-Denis from the Burgundy wine-growing region presents itself in the glass with a bright light red color. At the rim, this French red also shows a transition into garnet red. When swirling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a perfect balance, as it does not appear watery, nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the sides of the glass. On the nose, this François Feuillet red wine offers all kinds of plums and blackberries. As if that were not already impressive, additional aromas such as blueberry join in due to its maturation in small wooden barrels.
This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As one would expect from an Icon wine segment, this Frenchman naturally enchants, despite all its dryness, with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require residual sugar. Balanced and multi-faceted, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this matured red wine from the Burgundy wine-growing region finally impresses with remarkable length. Once again, hints of blackberry and plum appear.
Vinification of François Feuillet Morey-Saint-Denis
The well-balanced Morey-Saint-Denis from France is a single-varietal wine made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The Morey-Saint-Denis is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this French wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of wines from the Old World. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the elegant Morey-Saint-Denis is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
