The basis for the powerful Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé Blanc from Bordeaux are grapes from the Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon varieties. In Bordeaux, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on gravel soils. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé Blanc are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of strenuous and less selective mechanical harvesters.
