Portada Winemaker's Selection Tinto - DFJ Vinhos

Portada is the Portuguese term for the inner or outer shutters, and this wine also opens up a whole new world for you.

The deep red color of the Portada Tinto Vinemaker's Selection from DFJ Vinhos is reminiscent of a sparkling ruby. On the nose, you can smell berry and stone fruit aromas (blackberry, black currant, raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, cherry, plum) as well as nuances of herbs. A full flavor, medium body as well as a nice acidity structure provide a beautifully balanced, fruity and elegant mouthfeel.

Vinification of Portada Tinto

The grapes, harvested by hand, are first destemmed, pressed and the resulting must undergoes a cold maceration followed by the addition of dry yeast. This is followed by alcoholic fermentation and finally malolactic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks.
