Portada Tinto Reserva - DFJ Vinhos

The Portada Tinto Reserva from DFJ Vinhos is a velvety and expressive red wine vinified from Touriga Nacional (34%), Alicante Bouschet (33%) and Shiraz (33%) grape varieties. 

In the glass, this wine shines in a rich ruby red with cherry red highlights. The multi-faceted bouquet is dominated by ripe berry fruit - particularly raspberry, wild strawberry and red currant - underpinned by subtle spice notes. On the palate, this Portuguese red wine is wonderfully velvety with expressive body. The fruit sweetness harmonizes wonderfully with the silky tannins and accompanies into the medium-long finish. 

Vinification of the DFJ Vinhos Portada Tinto Reserva

From September to October, the grapes for this red wine are harvested. Once the grapes arrive at the DFJ Vinhos winery, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After the fermentation process is completed, this wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barriques.
