Vinification of Bodegas Campillo Reserva Collección Rioja

The foundation for the powerful Reserva Collección Rioja from Spain is grapes from the Tempranillo variety. Of course, the Reserva Collección Rioja is defined by more than just the soil of the Rioja DOCa. In the best sense of the word, this Spaniard can be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an extraordinarily refined manner. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures follows. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Reserva Collección Rioja is aged for another 22 months in barriques made of American oak. After the wine is finished, the Reserva Collección Rioja is gently harmonized.
